About Wadestone

Wadestone is a growing new management consulting company specializing in platform development, literary representation, project management and for-profit  and nonprofit management strategy primarily in the Christian publishing space.

Writing a book, creating a business, raising funding are not easy tasks.  Our clients enter into these pursuits because they believe in their calling and message.  But if the the book sits on a shelf in the warehouse and never sells, if the business never gets its product in front of customers, or the donors are not aware of a need, there is no point to having a compelling  story or vision. A compelling story can only move the audience to action if they are aware of it. Our aim is to equip the storyteller to take their message far and wide.

Building a platform or self promotion is often seen as arrogant or narcissistic, but that is only true if the platform serves to feed an ego.  If the message is meant to transform hearts, to build a community or serve others then building a strong and vocal platform is to the benefit of the audience, not the storyteller.

About Image.jpeg

Brad Byrd launched Wadestone January of 2019 after 28 years in the international non-profit, publishing and market-place ministry spheres.  Prior to founding Wadestone, Brad served ten years as the North American Director of The Good Book Company, a global Christian publishing company with headquarters in London and Washington DC overseeing the US launch, advising on marketing strategy, finance, and acquisitions.  Over Brad’s tenure authors such as Tim Keller, Matt Chandler, Trillia Newbell and Sam Allberry were added to the company’s portfolio of authors. After college in Southern California, Brad lived in the Balkan region of Europe on two separate occasions totaling 15 years as an entrepreneur founding several ventures, including an indigenous publishing house in Romania; and he served as team leader for an NGO working along-side the local church. Brad did development work initiating microfinance programs and SME  funding and training during this time. In the interim between the two tours overseas he worked as a contractor for the US Congress and served on staff for Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C.

Byrd grew up in rural central Illinois and Orange County, California and currently resides with his family in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains.
